A Wild Rose for a Friend

The limited supply challenge on SCS was based on using only one flower stamp, no cuttlebug, no designer paper and no background stamps.  This was certainly a challenge for me!  I ended up using the Wild Rose set for this card because it hasn't seen any ink in eons. 

I randomly stamped the solid and detailed rose images in river rock ink on the large river rock mat.  I pulled bravo burgundy ink off the edges and then tied a piece of burgundy organdy ribbon around the lower 1/3 of this mat. 

I inked the "my dear, kind and wonderful friend" stamp from the All Holidays set with bravo burgundy ink and stamped it on a small whisper white mat. I pulled bravo burgundy ink off the edges of this mat and the corresponding river rock mat.  These two mats were adhered together and attached to a bravo burgundy mat.  I used dimensionals to adhere the matted sentiment in the lower right corner of the large river rock mat, over the burgundy organdy ribbon.

I inked the solid rose image with bravo burgundy ink, stamped the image off and then stamped it on a piece of whisper white cardstock.  I inked the detailed rose image with bravo burgundy ink and stamped this image over the solid rose image.  Once the ink had dried, I cut the image out.

I inked the large solid leaf stamp in river rock ink, stamped it off and then stamped it on a piece of whisper white cardstock.  I inked the large detailed leaf stamp in river rock ink and then stamped it over the solid image.  I stamped three leaves all together and then cut them out and adhered them to the back of the rose image.

I pulled bravo burgundy ink off the large whisper white and river rock mats.  I adhered these mats on a large bravo burgundy mat and then attached them on the upper left corner of the large river rock mat.  I used dimensionals to attach the rose/leaves image on this mat.  The large river rock mat was adhered to a bravo burgundy card.
