I was so excited to see that Julie (JulieHRR) was today's featured stamper on SCS. I have always admired Julie's clean, crisp design style so it was an absolute pleasure to be able to CASE and modify one of her cards - Sweet!!! . The elements of her card that I changed included the color combo, the stamp set, the designer paper and the color of ribbons. I kept the layout and the ribbon treatment the same.
I inked the love heart from the A Happy Heart set with chocolate chip craft ink and stamped it on pink pirouette cs. I cut the image out, leaving a pink pirouette border around the stamped edge and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used dimensionals to pop it off a whisper white square mat. I stamped the sentiment from this set in chocolate chip ink below the heart. This mat was adhered to a larger scalloped chocolate chip mat and I used the the cropadile to create holes in the upper left corner of the mats to attach chocolate chip grosgrain and pretty in pink gingham ribbons. This layered mat was popped off the whisper white cardbase which featured a dotted pink pirouette designer paper layer. Another Valentine's Day card completed!!!!
Thanks for checking out my blog and have a great Sunday!

Simply Beautiful. How do you get the scallop square corners to come out so perfect?

I love this card! Not only does it have one of my favorite color combos, the design is lovely! That heart is sumptous and you leaving the pink border really finishes it off beautifully.
