I saw Beate's scallop edge medallion card and I had to try one of my own. I CASE'd and modified her card. I changed the color combo, the sentiment, the designer paper and ribbon treatment. I also added a pierced border around the pink pirouette designer paper.
I thought these medallions would be hard to make when I first saw them but they are super easy to do and I love the effect they generate. If you haven't tried to make one yet, you definitely should. You can find complete instructions here on the SCS site.
The scallop edge medallion is constructed from three squares of cardstock - riding hood red, whisper white and pink pirouette. The pink pirouette designer paper mat was pierced around the edges and matted to the larger whisper white mat. A length of riding hood red taffeta ribbon was tied around these mats. The cardfront was popped off a riding hood red base with dimesionals.
