Surprise Pop-Up Cards

Today's challenge on SCS is focused on Surprise Pop-Up cards.  I have made two of these cards and I wanted to share them with you. 

The first card was made with the Unfrogettable, the daisy field wheel  and the Dots and Daisies background stamp.  This card was inspired by a card that Jeanne S had made a few years ago.

I used green galore, whisper white and taken and with teal cardstock to make this card.  The frog image was stamped on the whisper white mat first and then he was masked off so that when the daisy field wheel was rolled over the area the frog appears to be in front of the grass.

White gel pen accents were added to the flowers on the cardbase and I used an aquapainter to apply color to the stamped images.  Taken with teal ink was lightly sponged to create cloud images.

The inside of the surprise pop-up card has the sentiment "you're unfrogettable" stamped on it.

Ink: Basic black, taken with teal, garden green, old olive, rose red

CS: Green galore, taken with teal, whisper white

Accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch, certainly celery grosgrain ribbon, sticky strip, aquapainter, bone folder, paper cutter, 1/8" circle punch  

The second surprise pop-up card is based on a Christmas theme.  The bravo burgundy cardbase was stamped with the aida background in bravo burgundy ink.

The main image was stamped in basic black ink and watercolored with various SU! colors.  I used bravo burgundy, very vanilla, always artichoke and river rock cardstock to make this card.

The "Christmas Blessings" sentiment was stamped in versamark ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  A gold eyelet and bravo burgundy grosgrain ribbon was added to the pull-up area of the card.

A Sweet Little Skunk Envelope Pouch

Congrats to Cindy (YLM) for being the featured stamper for today's challenge on SCS.  Cindy had made the cutest little bee envelope pouch a few months ago.  Since I don't have any bee stamps I decided that a matching pouch to my card from last weeks challenge was fitting.

I used regal rose, basic black and whisper white cardstock.  The skunk image was colored in with going grey ink.  I used the Three for You punch to make flower accents for the skunk to hold and the corners of the mat.  Each flower has a small clear rhinestone accent.  I used thin black grosgrain ribbon and wide regal rose grosgrain ribbon for embellishments.

Happiness is.......

Happiness is .... whatever fills your heart with joy!  I must confess that I have been outside most of this week and I was loving it.  Sadly, my poor stamps have been feeling abandoned but my golf clubs have seen lots of action.  Yesterday I even made par on one hole.  That was a huge accomplishment for me.

Maren (mmbc) was the featured stamper for the Sunday challenge on SCS.  Her gallery is full of wonderful cards with great layouts and awesome color combos.  My little skunk stamp from Pun Fun hadn't seen any ink yet so I decided to use it for the challenge.  I paired it with the Three for You flower punch and some clear bling.  'The color combo I picked was black, regal rose and white.  I tied a piece of wide regal rose grosgrain ribbon around the center of the card.
