It has been awhile since I have posted. I had tried to make a few cards for some SCS challenges over the past few weeks but was having major stampers block so I put the stamps aside and took a break. I spent alot of time with the twins before they went back to school. I resumed stamping this past week and my stamping mojo is flowing again so all is good!
This is a treat box that I created for my technique groups this month. I just love that little skeleton image from the Scary Skeleton set.
You can find instructions on how to make this treat box on Angie Tieman's blog - Schwoo! They are super easy to create and I love the top note layout on the top and bottom of the box.
The trimmed pumpkin pie top note was stamped with the cat face and bat from the Scary Skeleton set and this was layered on the basic black top note.
I wanted to make my skeleton look like he was dancing in the moonlight so I adhered him on matted whisper white, pumpkin pie, and basic black circles. I trimmed the one side so it was flush with the straight edge of the top note.
The skeleton was embossed with whisper white embossing powder on basic black cardstock and cut out. I left a basic black border around the edges of his body. I also stamped the bat in basic black ink on whisper white cardstock and cut it out. I popped it up on a dimensional in the upper right corner of the box. The "happy haunting!" sentiment was stamped in basic black ink on whisper white cardstock and it was punched with the window word punch. I layered it on a punched basic black modern label shape and adhered it in the lower right corner of my box. I added a striped pumpkin pie ribbon around the base of bthe box to dress it up.
